YouTube can be a vast treasure trove. I have found this gem from 1935 that is apparently the first screen adaption of A Christmas Carol, also just called Scrooge.

A Christmas Carol or Scrooge
Just watched the new Disney's Christmas Carol staring Jim Carey. It was okay, but 1971's Scrooge staring Albert Finney is still my favourite. Surprising since I'm not one for musicals.
